Of abstract design, with round brilliant-cut diamonds scattered throughout, brooch fitting and 18ct gold fancy-link chain, total diamond weight approx. 1.60 - 1.70cts, length of pendant 5.7cm.
Purchased from West Jewellers, Dublin. Founded in 1720, West's was Ireland's oldest jewellery shop and considered one of the oldest companies in Ireland. After 290 years, West closed the doors on the Grafton Street store on the 13th February 2010. The British Royal Collection has two brooches from West & son, pieces Prince Albert bought for Queen Victoria on a visit to Dublin in 1849.
