Russell Young

Russell Young's striking portraits of cultural icons explore America's glamorous myths and darker themes like crime and mortality. His silkscreen paintings feature celebrities such as Marilyn Monroe and Kurt Cobain, using high-contrast colors and diamond dust for a sparkling effect. Some works incorporate shellac in a visceral style.
