Nick Smith's art uniquely blends abstraction and figuration, resembling pixelated versions of famous Western artworks from afar. His meticulous collages, made from curated paint swatches, recreate celebrated pieces like Grant Wood's *American Gothic* (2020) and Leonardo da Vinci's *Mona Lisa 1* (2015). Since starting this journey in 2014 with Andy Warhol's *Marilyn Monroe*, Smith has attracted global collector interest. While best known for his museum reproductions, he also reinterprets movie posters, nude studies, and still lifes with condiments. He adds narrative depth by replacing paint color names with evocative terms. A Coventry University graduate, Smith's background in interior design influences his medium choice.
