Connor Brothers

Mike Snelle and James Golding, known collectively as "the Connor Brothers," create a distinctive body of work that contrasts pin-up style depictions of women with vibrant blocks of color and dry, humorous text. These British artists produce polished paintings and works on paper that delve into themes of artifice and sensational narrative, which they originally integrated into their invented personas as artists. Initially, the Connor Brothers claimed to be twin siblings who had escaped from a cult in California to pursue their artistic endeavors, a narrative they have since abandoned. Their artwork has been showcased in prominent cities including London, Berlin, New York, Los Angeles, and Sydney.
