Award-winning photographer Juno Calypso creates striking self-portraits in surreal, tension-filled settings. Often embodying her alter ego Joyce, she poses in nostalgic locations like honeymoon hotels and mid-century homes. Calypso developed this character during her photography studies at the London College of Communication, and just a year after graduating in 2012, her haunting self-portraits won the visitor's choice award at the Catlin Art Prize. She has quickly gained recognition for her thought-provoking images that explore femininity. In 2016, she received the prestigious Foam Talent Call and the British Journal of Photography Series Award. Additionally, Calypso works in editorial photography, capturing celebrities like Billie Eilish and Naomi Campbell for various publications and fashion brands.
