Jamie Hewlett

Jamie Hewlett is a British cartoonist and designer, co-creator of the virtual band Gorillaz with Damon Albarn. He gained fame for the comic strip “Tank Girl” in the late 1980s, known for its punk aesthetics and humor. His street art-influenced style with Gorillaz reshaped music presentation, merging visual art and music. Hewlett has exhibited at the Design Museum in London, where he won Designer of the Year in 2006, and at the Saatchi Gallery. His influence also spans advertising and activism, particularly in environmental issues.
