Dissident artist Ai Weiwei is known for conceptual artworks that challenge authority and explore the interplay between modern society and traditional Chinese culture. His works are held in prestigious collections, including the Centre Pompidou and the Guggenheim Museum. He also contributed to the design of the Bird’s Nest stadium for the 2008 Beijing Olympics. While some pieces have sold for millions, many are available on the secondary market for four or five figures.
